Wedding Attire

Semi-formal

We are expecting a typical Wellington summer day, so with that in mind, we respectfully request the following:

Colours

We would love for everyone to express themselves in their own way, and encourage you to have fun with your outfit. We do, however, request that you refrain from wearing white, ivory, or cream, as well as shades of pink and green unless you are part of the bridal party.

What to wear?

We love and appreciate our South African culture, but for this day, we request jeans, shorts, T-shirts, plakkies and tekkies to be left at home. Tuxedos or full suits, ballgowns or long dresses are not required! Think polished, stylish, but comfortable and weather appropriate. Expect dry weather up to 40°C!

Accommodation

There is limited accommodation available in Wellington at Langkloof Roses which will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. Please let Jessica and/or FC know if you would like to reserve a room. Rooms are R850 per person, with rooms sleeping two to four people per room, depending on availability.

Registry

We are traveling light! As much as we'd like to take that vase to our home away from home, we could barely fit Jessica's wedding dress into a 23 kg bag. If you feel so inclned, we have set up an online registry where you may contribute to items we will buy for our new home in the USA. Alternatively, please donate to a good cause in our names. Always pay it forward. :)
